Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Neuware - 'The Principles of the Law of Sale of Goods' is a comprehensive legal treatise that provides an in-depth examination of the statutory and common law foundations governing commercial transactions. Written by Henry Aitken, K.C., this work serves as an essential guide to the intricacies of buy…ing and selling tangible property within a structured legal framework. It meticulously outlines the rights and obligations of both buyers and sellers, covering critical topics such as the formation of contracts, the passing of property, the performance of the contract, and the various remedies available for breach of agreement.Designed for both legal practitioners and students of commerce, the book clarifies complex legal doctrines through clear exposition and reference to established precedents. Its structured approach allows readers to navigate the evolution of mercantile law and understand how the Sale of Goods Act and related legislation apply to everyday business dealings. This authoritative text remains a significant contribution to legal literature, offering a timeless perspective on the principles that ensure fairness and clarity in the marketplace. Whether exploring the nuances of warranties, conditions, or the delivery of goods, Aitken's analysis provides a robust foundation for understanding the legal mechanics of trade. This work has been selected by scholars as being culturally important, and is part of the knowledge base of civilization as we know it. This work was reproduced from the original artifact, and remains as true to the original work as possible. Therefore, you may see the original copyright references, library stamps (as most of these works have been housed in our most important libraries around the world), and other notations in the work. This work is in the public domain in the United States of America, and possibly other nations. Illustrated paper-covered flexible boards, no dust jacket as issued. Photographs, video installations and edited by Doug Aitken. Texts (in English and German) by Jörg Heiser, Francesco Bonami, Henr…y Grunwald and Gijs van Tuyl. Essay (in English and German) by Ilka Becker. From the publisher: "The installation "Electric Earth," debuted at the 1999 Venice Biennale, international recognition to the video and media artist Doug Aitkin. In the piece, a dancer roams a transitory realm of wasted landscapes. Aitken, whose protagonists are usually natural landscapes and cityscapes, here links the electrified structures of our urban world with the nervous system of the human body. The piece, with its pop-surrealist overtones, also reveals Aitken's roots as a director of music videos. This artist's book, laid out in a landscape format, presents fascinating views of natural and urban landscapes and structures from the video. Gijs van Tuyl, in his essay, writes, "You don't have to look through it passively from A to Z.it offers up a space in which the reader can move freely.in order to create a story in the here and now, in the flow of time.".

Scuffing to spine and exterior, otherwise book is in good condition. The Royal Commission on Historical Manuscripts (abbreviated as the HMC) was established in 1869 "to make enquiry as to the places where manuscripts and… private papers of historical interest were located and to report on their contents". The HMC's offices were located at Quality House, Quality Court, Chancery Lane, close to the old Public Record Office. The general public were able to visit Quality House during regular office hours to use the National Register of Archives, a computer database of archival references drawn from catalogues and published lists of manuscripts, useful for the study of British history, held in private hands and repositories in both the UK and overseas. In April 2003 the Keeper of Public Records became the sole Historical Manuscripts Commissioner. The chief executive of the National Archives is now Keeper of Public Records and Commissioner of Historical Manuscripts.
