The book appears tightly bound.The pages are clean and crisp with no apparent foxing or marks. The text and lithographic drawings are clear. This is copy number 270 of 370, and it is signed by the author, Aidan Mackey, on the limitation page. The dedication page contains a personal, signed inscription from the author to George and Margaret Sayers, dated Sept 1994. The inscription reads: "For George & Margaret Sayers / Mr Chesterton comes to tea / As did - with great gratitude - did / Aidan Mackey / Sept 1994".
