Add to basketpaperback. Condition: Good. seconda edizione. In 16, cm. 10,5 x 15,5, pp. 91 + (1). Book.

Add to basketIn-4° carré (cm 24 x 33,5), pp. 40 ca. non numerate, 12 stupende tavole f.t. di Wildt, brossura editoriale con nastro in tela. Buona copia. False (illustrator).

Silk. Condition: New. Dust Jacket Condition: New. First Edition. First edition, limited/numbered (5000 printed). SIGNED BY FRANCO MARIA RICCI. In Black Orient silk with tipped-in color plates and matching black silk clamshell case. Photographs by Araldo de Luca, Massimo Listri, Roberto Ponzani. 167 pp. On hand-made Ingres pastel… blue paper manufactured by Cartiere Milliani in Fabriano, a true masterpiece of the book arts. The Gothic symbolist Adolfo Wildt (1868-1931), whose works have been underrated until now, is amongst the greatest of modern sculptors. He was not a man of the "atelier" but of the "workshop" in the old sense of the word. He appeared to be self-taught, but was the direct and accomplished heir to all the major western traditions of craft and sculpture. Through perfect reproductions, this volume gives an accurate philological reconstruction of his works and places the figure of the sculptor in the wider field of twentieth century European culture, to which this great artist rightly belongs. In original publisher's shipping box. New in new slipcase. Wildt, Adolfo (illustrator). Signed by Publisher.
