Add to basketSoft cover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. South African quarterly magazine edited by Sidney Sepamla - the journal showcased Black South African writers and was the successor to the Classic Magazine. Sepamla was 'the first black person to edit and manage a literary magazine in South Africa.' Very nice, well-preserved copy of… the first issue of the twice revived journal - clean and well-bound. Wrappers are age-toned and very minimally edge-worn, more so at the spine which shows some paper fraying. Now in protective mylar. Interior pages are slightly age-toned but otherwise very clean. Overall excellent and scarce. Contributors include Editor: Sydney Sipho Sepamla, Lionel Abrahams, Winston Nkondo, Sydney Sipho Sepamla, C.D. Noble, Nakedi Phosas, Mbulelo Mzamane, Mothobi Mutloatse, Ralph Ndawo and David Goldblatt, Jiggs, C.C. van Wyk, Lefifi Tladi, Bhazel Johennesse Kenalemang, Sidney Sipho Sepamla, Mothobi Mutloatse, Sol Rachilo.
