Hardcover. First edition. xviii 185pp. Blue cloth in dust jacket. This copy is SIGNED and dated by Roger Penrose on the title page, scarce thus. Age toning to the page edges, else a nice copy. Roger Penrose shared the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2020 "for the discovery that black hole formation is a robust prediction of the general theory of relativity" . He is known for his popular books on physics and his collaborations with many notable modern physicists like Stephen Hawking. He is the Emeritus Rouse Ball Professor of Mathematics at the University of Oxford. The book in this listing is an introduction to Penrose's physics and include contributions from Shimony, Cartwright, and Hawking. Very Good in Near Fine dust jacket.
