A study of the Total Design methodology was done and its one of the tool i.e. Failure Mode & Effect Analysis is applied to different parts of gear reducer for their failure analysis. In the end, material of different components of the Gear Reducer were selected with the help of material selection technique i.e. Weighted Property Method using digital logic gates and on the basis of their strength.
