Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Blue cloth boards with black printing and a pasted on illustration by Elenore Plaisted Abbott on the front cover. Six tipped-in color illustrations by Abbott plus a frontispiece. The front cover illustration has a small area of scratches, and the spine is somewhat faded and has a bit of shelf wear. Binding still square. Interior pages clean and bright, with just a touch of tanning at the edges.
Hardcover. Condition: Good. 203 p. 23 cm. Frontispiece and 10 other plates in partial colour. Green cloth with pasted-on illustration and gold print. Light wear to corners and spine ends. Thumbing to pages inside. Small tears to first pages. Ink inscription on reverse of frontispiece "Casper W. Owen from Grandma 1910". Small stain at bottom of front endpapers. "Being the thrilling adventures, authentically told, of a worthy son of the celebrated Jack, the Giant Killer." Former owner may be the Casper W. Owen who became a Canadian agricultural researcher in the first half of the twentieth century - or a relative.
