Small piece of leather is loose on the spine. Outer pages and inside boards and free end pages are marbled. Interior is clean and tight with nice illustrations and plates. No date of publishing; probably mid to late 1800's.

A First US Edition copy showing splits to cloth at gutters, bumped corners with board showing, darkening to yellow endpapers with a miniscule pastedown of previous owners printed name on ffep. Some play in the whole but still solidly bound, interior intact and while the outer appearance is of a copy with moderate to heavy edge wear, the solidity of the whole belies its appearance!
