This is the very scarce original volume of the British Official History of the Frist World War:- TRANSPORATION ON THE WESTERN FRONT 1914 1918 This original copy published and printed in 1937 is a volume that is very rarely available for sale. The book comprises XXX1V pages of introduction and contents lists, 531 pages of text ( 1-507 ) and appendices ( 508 - 525) This book is tightly bound and the front and rear inner hinges are sound with no splits or tears. The volume is from the Royal Military College of Science Library and bears their book mark on the inner front board and a stamp on the ffep All 17 sketch maps bound within the text are present. The top of the block is slightly dusty as are the sides ( but less so) The front outer board has a bit of wrinkling and fading at the top. The rear outer boards is bright and clean. The spine is sun faded but the gilt lettering is still clear. The front and bottom of the spine are slightly bumped and there is a very small slightly less faded mark towards the bottom of the spine where a small previous label may have been placed.…
