Hardcover. Condition: Good. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, blue cloth boards show scuffing and spotting along with edge and corner bumps/wear, some fraying is also present. The text portion of the internal binding is tight but there is an issue with the front hinge: it is not cracked but there is damage in the gutter about an inch and 1/2 up from the bottom which is actually caused a closed hole. The rear hinge is good as is the rest of the book. The second front end page shows an 1888 gift inscription written in pencil. This is the only handwriting found in the book. The only other found issue is on the last couple pages, where there is a small brown spot along the exterior page edge, just up from the lower outside corners.

A good, clean, hardcover edition over all with fraying to the cloth at both ends of the backstrip which has been glued, and a glued tear to the cloth at the thinge, as well as the remains of a postage stamp adhered to the back cloth; hinges and binding solid, paper moderately yellowed, BUT light foxing throughout (color plates clean and bright).
