Hardcover. Condition: New. 120 pages. Norwegian & English. In the performance trilogy Riding Romance, choreographer Henriette Pedersen is based on three iconic works from Romantikken - and creates her own theatrical reactions to these. This second part of the series is a reaction to Caspar David Friedrich's picture Der Wanderer über dem Nebelmeer. The production was developed during a stay at the studio program W17 at Kunstnernes Hus in Oslo together with Frido Evers, Kristine Karåla Øren, Elisabeth Breen Berger, Tilo Hahn et al. During three viewing periods, the studio was open to the public, including a small group of specially invited 'reactionaries'. As Pedersen and her team through their process have shredded and explored Friedrich and his painting, Kristin Berget, Diana Damian Martin and Julian Blaue were invited to come up with textual reactions to the stage. The texts are collected in the book, together with an introductory essay by editor Anette Therese Pettersen and photographic documentation by Sveinn Fannar Jóhannsson.
