Contact seller4-star sellerTower Books first printing (per publisher's statement upon copyright page). [8], 310 pages. Hardcover: H 20.75cm x L 14cm. Dust jacket with colorfully illustrated pictorial front panel and spine; dj rubbed with nicks and several closed tears, some soiling most evident upon predominately white rear panel; dj now presented in a mylar Brodart protector. Blue boards, spine head lightly bumped. Toning and foxing to edges; muted yellow top edge. Some toning to endpapers; past owner' sink inscription on front free endpaper; slight toning and occasional light foxing to interior leaves which otherwise remain quite clean (this copy does not suffer the obtrusive toning often seen with World Publishing's wartime Tower imprints). Binding is firm. A very good copy in a very good- dust jacket. VALLEY VULTURES was first published by Dodd, Mead in 1932. Max Brand, the pseudonym of Frederick Schiller Faust (1892-1944), is, of course, one of the most prolific and legendary authors in the western genre.…

Binding tight; slight forward lean. Corner's sharp with minimal scuffing. Spine head and tail soft, scuffed with small splits. Small spot of lost color at bottom of rear board. A very good copy. "The town consisted of two parts. Up on the hill where the eucalyptus trees had been taught to grow, were the homes of the well-to-do ranchers and miners who, for mysterious reasons understandable only by the natives of the great Southwest, had retired from active life, and built their houses in the "city". They led dreary lives up on the hill where the eucalyptus trees grew thick enough to make a show at a distance, but not thick enough to make a shade. The sun upon the brow of that hill was as hot as it could be in any part of that hot State." /Chapter 1.…

We personally inspect every book we offer. Signed by translator.…
