Kim’s love for a good story was sparked at the tender age of four when her mom enrolled her in the Dr. Seuss Book Club. Soon, she was crafting her own paper and crayon “books” and announcing her dream of becoming a writer when she grew up. At the age of seven, she gave her heart to Jesus—a treasured moment she still clearly remembers and continues to live out every day. It is only natural, then, that her faith and pen intertwine.
With over 30 years of experience as a school teacher and children’s pastor, Kim has authored numerous Bible-based stories, object lessons, skits, puppet scripts, and even a stage play. In 2019, after her husband Fred unexpectedly left for Heaven, Kim and their four children established The POW Center, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to producing fun, faith-building resources for kids.
Today, Kim and her family collaborate on creative projects such as children's stories and activity books, original music, and engaging YouTube videos that introduce children to God and emphasize the power of words. This chapter book marks her debut in children’s literature.
Kim currently resides in Stone Mountain, Georgia, where she treasures spending time with her family and doting on Bailey Rey and Alex J., whom she fondly proclaims to be the world's cutest, sweetest, and smartest grandbabies.
