Farid Karimi

Farid Karimi is an Environmental Social Scientist. He received MSc. in Sustainable Energy Technology (Major in Energy and Society) from the Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands and PhD in Environmental Social Science from the University of Helsinki, Finland. During his PhD studies, he visited the University of Essex, UK and the University of Texas at Austin, USA. His research interests mostly lie in the field of social sciences of sustainable energy systems and climate change, and energy politics. His articles and interviews have been published in major journals and outlets.

Farid Karimi has worked at the University of Greifswald, Germany, Aalto University, the University of Helsinki, Finland, the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (visiting fellow), Austria and the European Patent Office, the Netherlands, among others. Currently, he is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland.
