Duncan McLeod

Duncan McLeod is one of the world’s most sought after Sales and Operations Planning experts. He has guided numerous S&OP projects in the America’s, Europe and Asia.

Growing up in a manufacturing family, a teenaged Duncan was challenged to schedule his father’s tubing factory. This started his lifelong quest to find better ways to plan and manage supply chains. He founded DBM Systems in 1980 and has been helping 100s of organizations since then. Through this work he has come to understand the fundamental importance of S&OP in helping organizations achieve their objectives. For the past 10 years S&OP has become the focus of his research and consulting. He is one of the rare executive management specialists with an extensive hands-on background in manufacturing and a keen understanding of sales and demand planning.

Sales and Operations Planning: How to run an S&OP process everyone understands is Duncan’s debut as a published author and is the first of what he hopes to be many S&OP books.

Duncan is a Professional Engineer, a Certified Fellow in Production and Inventory Management (CFPIM) and a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) with APICS. He received his BASc in Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and his MBA from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.
