Cicero Urban

Cicero Urban MD PhD (1972) was born in Ponta Grossa, in the south of Brazil, and has concluded his Medical degree at Federal University of Parana in Curitiba (Brazil) in 1995. He is specialized in General Surgery and Surgical Oncology at Our Lady of Grace Hospital in Curitiba (Brazil) (1996-1998), fellow in Breast Surgery at Milan National Cancer Institute in Italy (1999), and fellow in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at European Institute of Oncology in Milan (Italy) (2002-2003). He did a Post-Graduation in Bioethics at Universitta Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome (Italy) in 1999. He has a dedication to Oncoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery of the Breast, Clinical Bioethics and Medical Education. He organized 6 books in Breast Surgery and in Clinical Bioethics, published in Portoguese, English and Italian. He is the author of more than 130 peer-reviewd papers and an international carrer as a medical speaker. Since December 2016, he is the Positivo University Medical School Dean, and Chair of the Department of Surgery at Our Lady of Grace Hospital in Curitiba (Brazil). He is married with a straordinary woman Linei, a highly competent breast radiologist, and has 2 wonderful kids: Lara and Joao Paulo.
