Miriam Goldstein was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and has lived in Israel since 2001. She has been fascinated by the Arabic language and Arab culture ever since her childhood, growing up in Florida. She received her BA from Harvard College in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations, her MPhil from the University of Cambridge, and her PhD from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her research interests include interreligious relations in medieval Arabic-Islamic lands; interreligious polemic in the medieval period; and Judeo-Arabic Bible exegesis. Miriam teaches in the Department of Arabic Language and Literature at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Currently she's working on projects related to notions of authorship in medieval Arabic literature and literary interconnections in the medieval period.
