A single issue of this influential American journal of contemporary classical music and avant-garde composition of the first half of the 20th century, this copy from 1944 when New York had become the centre of avant-garde creati…vity which had been displaced from Europe. Highlights in this issue include a brief Paul Bowles piece "In the Theatre", Alfred Frankenstein on "Milhaud's Midian in Orchestral Debut" and Serge Prokofiev on "My Cinderella". Condition: Fair condition. Whilst the text is complete, the spine is heavily worn and nearly detached, and a few pages are loose. However, it has been collated and no pages are missing. The pages are clean and in strong readable condition.
