Tuttavia a quest'oggi esso non è stato all'origine di nessuna mostra di opere d'arte inerenti al periodo decisivo che va dalla fine del XV secolo alla fine del XVI. La varietà degli artisti coinvolti - illustri come Bosch, Dürer o Michelangelo, o meno conosciuti dal grande pubblico come Mocetto o Naldini - vuol far comprendere come si caratterizza nel Rinascimento la rappresentazione del sogno.
