About the Author

Steve Ahern is Head of Radio at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School. His 20 years in radio spans a career which began as a reporter, producer and announcer for various community and commercial radio stations in New South Wales and includes periods as manager of three of the ABC's metropolitan stations: 3LO Melbourne, 2CN Canberra and 2NC Newcastle. He has been the radio columnist for The Australian and was consultant for the post-Apartheid establishment of the South African National Broadcasting School.
