Item description from seller

SIGNED with a short inscription by the author in black ink on the half-title page (the inscription is to a noted Pacific Northwest poet and collector). 87pp. Octavo [20cm]; perfect-bound in original printed pictorial wraps. Some light overall shelfwear/rubbing to the covers. Else, a clean and sharp copy. A nice signed copy of the fifth printing. New Directions Paperback 112 (NDP112). "Though born and raised in Great Britain, [Levertov] has long held a distinctive place in postwar American letters. [.] Living in the United States since the late 1940's, Ms. Levertov has often been associated with the Black Mountain poets, while from the mid-1960s onward she has been one of the foremost activists in the antiwar and antinuclear movements. Yet even in her more "political" poems, her dominant perception has continued to be of the intricate beauty, the mystery of life as it is lived" (New Directions Publishing).
