"Atlas Shrugged" was the last novel published during her lifetime (1905-1982), and it is one of the most influential novels of the 20th century. The novel, which took twelve years to write, dramatizes her unique vision of existence, describing a future United States on the brink of economic collapse after years of collectivist misrule.
