The First UK printing published by Faber and Faber in 1967.The BOOK is in VERY GOOD condition.Mild pushing to the spine tips.There is some rubbing at the spine folds,edges and spine tips.The usual offsetting to the end papers due to the cheap quality of paper used.There is a previous owner's name in ink to the second blank end paper.The WRAPPER is complete and in VERY GOOD + condition.Mild fading of red lettering to the spine.Mild edge wear with a little rubbing and loss at corners.One small closed tear to the lower front panel.The wrapper looks very attractive in the removable Brodart archival protector.The book has been SIGNED to the title page by P.D.JAMES.The ticket for the signing event accompanies this title as provenance.The third of the author's books to feature Superintendent Dalgleish.
