SCARCE INSCRIBED FIRST EDITION IN DUST JACKET, decorated boards with salmon colored spine (see photos), inscribed by author in fountain pen on half-title page and dated April 17, 1944, stated first edition, illustrated dust jacket, illustrated endpapers and beautifully illustrated by Henry C. Pitz, 118pp. Very Good with light wear at extremities (see photos); text clean - no writing. Good dust jacket with edge wear and chipping, spine sunned, in mylar protection. Shoo-Fly pie is a Pennsylvania Dutch staple - a region Mildred Jordan often featured; includes a recipe for Shoo-Fly pie. Also includes a wonderful short autobiography of Ms. Jordan. A scarce title to find in the dust jacket.
