Brown cloth hard cover with gilt titles on spine and front board with gilt decorative flowers also on front, some edge wear mostly confined to spine ends and mildly bumped corners. Inside front cover is a book plate - Presented by A W Page in 1923 to Bath Public Reference Library, but none of the usual lending library stamps. Quite clean interior with xix, 366 pages, 32 pages of advertisements and frontispiece of Lowder with author's signature, which is presumably a facsimile.
