(16),346,(28),347-475 pp.Contemporary calf with raised bands, spine with gilt oxidized decoration, edges sprinkled. Spine dry and blotchy and with minor wormhole at bottom. Occasional underlinings in the beginning and with several very discreet ink markings. A few ruststains, in the first work leading to loss of letters on one page. Minor loss of text also due to paper thinning on p. 1 och 11 in the last pagination, which like the previous one is incorrectly bound at the end of the volume. 18th-century acquisition note in the second work, signature and MS pricing. From Biby Manor in Sweden.VD17 12:131059Z and VD17 12:131076Q, respectively. Bibliotheca danica IV:548 and Thesaurus librorum danicorum 331 fot the first work. Collijn Sveriges bibliografi 1600-talet 830 and Almquist Sveriges bibliografiska litteratur 20 for the second. First edition of Bartholin's work published in Copenhagen in 1666. The brothers Albert and Thomas Bartholin was sons of the famous Danish polymath Caspar Bartholin. The work was finished by the elder brother Thomas when Albert died in 1663. Mollerus' complementary additions are very extensive. First edition of Schefferus' work published in 1680. The concluding part of the pagination with Mollerus' additions. With a printed dedication to Magnus Gabriel De la Gardie from the widow and descendants of Schefferus. Sweden's oldest bibliography proper, chronologically arranged and starting with the medieval codes of laws of the Swedish counties. Registered are also Swedish works by foreigners active in Sweden, the author's own, among others, and the printed works of Finlanders from Michael Agricola and Johannes Paulinus. When it comes to biographical works and dissertations defended outside of Sweden and Finland this bibliography is still not completely replaced.
