Abel Gerald Wilson Blunt (1827-1902) was Rector of St Luke's, Chelsea, 1860-1902. His son's book is as much a memorial to Chelsea and its inhabitants, notably Thomas Carlyle, as to its long-standing reverend incumbent, a second cousin of Wilfrid Scawen Blunt, who contributes to the family history.
