Item description from seller

8 3/4" x 5 1/2", 423 pages, 36 black and white photographs. Hb, very good in near fine dw; front free endpaper and white space of title-page largely devoted to hand-written statistics regarding British civilians killed and injured in air-raids, and statistics relating to the effectiveness of the V-1 flying bombs, all attributed to ‘Skies of Fire’ by Alfred Price. Front free endpaper also carries a neat inscription to the previous owner from his daughter. The statistics given are of sufficient interest and relevance to not detract from the book’s appeal.
