A First UK printing published by Michael Joseph in 1950.The BOOK is in near FINE condition.The spine colouring is slightly faded but certainly less than is usually found.The yellow lettering is still bright.A little dustiness to the text block with some browning spots in a few places.Previous owner's penned name and address to the front end paper.The WRAPPER is complete and is in near FINE condition.It is not price-clipped.It has benefitted from some light expert archival restoration to the spine tips.The wonderful NICHOLS designed wrapper artwork looks stunning in the removable Brodart archival protector.The Nobel Laureate's scarce first book - A lovely copy! ashtonrarebooks welcomes direct contact.
