Blue/green cloth hard covers with gilt titles on spines, and no significant cover wear except for some minor and rather patchy fading of spines. Inside front cover is a book plate - The gift of M Oppenheim (1853-1927, pioneer historian of English naval administration) in 1919 to Bath Public Reference Library, but none of the usual lending library stamps. Volume I has xvi, 294 pages with 4 maps including frontispiece; and volume II has xvi, 400 pages and also 4 maps. Published in 1899 both these relatively scarce Macmillan published volumes are in very good condition. Seller Inventory # 003403
