Item description from seller

Octavo, wrappers, 48pp. Cover design by Jekabs Kazaks. Pavils Rozitis (variant spelling) lived from 1889 to 1937. A novelist and poet, his prose work tended towards satire, especially directed at bourgeois life and culture, and he was widely published. He was known for his translations from Russian, and was aligned with pro-Russian leftist groups. The present work (Road to Paradise)is a novelette. The cover artist was Jekabs Kazaks (1895-1920), one of the most promising of the Riga Artists Group and his early death was a loss to the avant-garde.
