xii; 563pp. Duodecimo [16 cm] Faded black leather, with the title in gilt on the spine (rubbed), double blind-ruled borders on the spine, and ornamental blind stamped borders on the boards. Bright yellow endpapers. Extremities rubbed. 1/2" tear to the leather at the head of the spine. Front free endsheet has long closed tear. Rear free endsheet torn out and absent. First few pages just beginning to detach at the foot. Light staining/foxing here and there. A bit more foxing to the title page, and a couple of pages with small, but darker stains. Stitching visible in inside margins. Several insignificant blemishes in the printing of pagination (pages in the correct order). Complete. The first Book of Mormon to be printed in the established headquarters of the Mormon Church, and the first to be printed by the Church of Latter-day Saints in America since the 1842 Nauvoo edition.
