Large Octavos, two volumes. In Very Good minus condition. Bound in half red leather with marbled paper boards, and paneled spines bearing gilt titling and tooling to compartments. Spines have rubbing wear to raised surfaces and extremities, with a few scattered small stains. Boards have bumping to fore corners, shelfwear to edges, peeling and chipping to leather near edges, and light chipping to paper. Text blocks have gilded top edges and marbled endpapers; foxing and age-toning to edges, ex-libris bookplates to front pastedowns, penciling to front flyleaves, stress marks to some corners, and foxing throughout; volume 1 has penciling to title page, splitting to some gutters, and some signatures uncut. Text in French. Shelved in Room A octavo overflow. CONTENTS: VOL 1: (xi, [1], 552 pages)-VOL 2: ([69] pages plus sixty plates). The Atlas d'anatomie pathologique was highly regarded in late-19th century French medicine for combining detailed descriptions with vivid, accurate color plates, and received prestigious awards in the 1870s. 1416062.
