    Condition: Fair. 1949. First Edition. 536 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Quarter bound red leather spine with red cloth covered boards. Gilt lettering. Book has been rebound by library, with expected inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Pages and binding are presentable with no major defects. Minor issues present such as mild cracking, inscriptions, inserts, light foxing, tanning and thumb marking. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some light marking and sunning. Minor peeling and splits to leather elements and boards. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Library pen writing to spine. Book has a slight forward lean.
