Well-read but in reasonable condition, original green cloth gilt, pp. 176, illustrated by Henry Ford. The upper cover bowing a little, the coloured top-edge faded, some faint spotting to fore-edge and all edges slightly marked/soiled, very occasional spots internally at margins. Inscribed at the flyleaf to the original owner of the book (by name - cropped from accompanying image) by Richmal Crompton, "with all good wishes from". The dustjacket is unclipped and fairly bright, some minor staining at the margins of the rear panel. Shelf-worn at the extremities, minor splitting to upper corners but no substantial loss. Very slightly stretched but overall a nice jacket. Inscribed by Author(s).
