Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. The White House Transcripts by The New York Times and an inroduction by R. W. Apple Jr. Bantam Books, 1974. Book is in very good plus condition; Spine uncreased ? a strong selling point for a 1970s Bantam paperback. Appears unread; binding is tight and square. Covers bright with strong color and gloss with some shelfwear. Downgraded for repaired rear cover corner crease, the primary flaw on this book. Pages are clean and unmarked with light, uniform age-appropriate toning typical of 1970s paper stock. Overall a very sharp copy with one notable cosmetic flaw.(see photos) This is the first mass-market paperback edition issued shortly after the Watergate hearings and the release of the transcripts. This historic volume reproduces the Watergate White House tapes in official transcript form, offering an unprecedented and unfiltered look into the conversations that led to President Nixon's resignation. With an incisive introduction by R. W. Apple, Jr. of The New York Times, it remains an essential primary source for political and legal historians.
