THERE ARE SOME SLIGHT SPLITS TO THE BINDING BUT THE PAGES ARE ATTACHED. THERE IS SOME LIGHT FOXING INSIDE. PAGES GENERALLY APPEAR CLEAN AND CREASE FREE. ALL IN ALL A NICE EXAMPLE OF THIS BOOK.

Spine colour slty faded, 1.5cm tear to top of spine repaired, front board has some faint water spotting. Slight loss of some colour to edges, A clean and sound copy throughout with all the colour plates present and in collector's condition as it's probably the first edition , first impression of this title as the verso title page gives 'copyright Frederick Warne, November 1925' but the title page gives 1926. So it could be the second impression of the first edition or a second edition. Collates thus : [ii,] xii, 756, [2] pp ads.90 illustrations in colour, consisting of a colour frontis and a further 19 col'd plates, 48 b/w plates and nearly 300 in all.
