This copy retains the scarce dustjacket and is a reprint, being the 1948 publication, Methuen and Co, UK. The dustjacket is often missing. The dj jas a light mark to the front and some wear - nicks around the edges with a little loss. Price clipped. The first page has been clipped to the top tip. There are initials in ink to this page otherwise the book is free from writing etc. Some age-toning to endpapers. The Lore of the Honey Bee was one of the first books published on the subject of bee-keeping. Tickner Edwardes was not only a writer, medical officer and priest, he was a very keen bee-keeper.
