Condition: Good. No Jacket. 1st edition. Spine sunned, front boards spotted, boards sl. warped; prize bookplate (for regular attendance at Sunday School, 1921) by M. & S. Ltd, London, with stylized leafy design. Illlustrated with some fine colour photographs (early for the period, if not hand-coloured monochromes) and plates of colour paintings by the author. The book deals with Birds of Prey, Seed Eaters, Insect Eaters, Waders, Freshwater and Seabirds, finishing rather appropriately with Flightless Birds. The author has travelled widely in search of photographic subjects, and the book is aimed at the rather older enthusiastic 'young folk" rather than the beginner. Weight: 1 Language: English Publisher's cloth, impressed design.
