Add to basketHardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. This is a UK first edition hardcover of this title published by Kegan Paul, Trench & Co in 1899 AND SIGNED BY AUSTIN DOBSON WITH INSCRIPTION AND DATED 21.12.89. The photos show the condition better than I can describe but overall I believe it to be in Very Good condition for its age. The book has a straight spine, with overall sharp corners and firm spine ends. The page edges are toned but the interior text block is clean, aside from toned end papers. There is a library label glued to the inside front board and an ex-libris sticker underneath the signature and inscription on the front end paper. The prices you can see to the left of the signature are pencil and will rub out - I prefer to leave them in. Similarly, there is a pencil note to confirm the book is a presentation copy to Whitwell Elwin.- English Clergyman and editor of the Quarterly Review. The title page confirms the first printing in 1889. Signed by Author(s).
