These six 12mos. are bound in their original bright red crushed morocco bindings with blind-tooled rules & ornamentation on the front & rear covers. The spines are lettered & decorated with gilt tooling. Gilt tooling also appears on the turn-ins; all edges are gilt. Condition: all spines show a hint of sunfading with slight rubbing to the spine extremities & hinges. Several of the corners are also very slightly rubbed. Bookplates - two in each volume, one mounted on the first pastedown, the other on the 1st free endpaper. Otherwise, this is a very bright, clean and colorful copy of this set, not often found in this condition. Illustrated with an engraved, illustrated title page in each volume.
