Das gesprochene Wort verfliegt, das Geschriebene bleibt: Alfred Schadts Erinnerungen eines Nach-Deportations-Geborenen In den letzten Jahren haben wir eine Reihe von Erinnerungen lesen können, die Landsleute zu Papier gebracht haben, im Wesentlichen aus der Generation, die von ihren Kriegs- und… Deportationserlebnissen berichteten. Aus späteren Zeiten gibt es kaum welche. Nun erschien das Buch von Alfred Schadt, einem Kronstädter, Jahrgang 1950. Zwar hat er nicht die Grauen der Elterngeneration erlebt, aber ihre Auswirkungen, die Angst und Enge der Zeit. Er hat gelernt zu funktionieren, sich anzupassen, nicht anzuecken, nicht aufzufallen. Man lebte mit dem Drang nach Freiheit und Selbstentfaltung, meist auf Deutschland projiziert. In der Langgasse von Stalinstadt geboren, lebte er bis zum 22. Lebensjahr im Rumänien der Zeit, in welcher die Sachsen mehr und mehr an Entfaltungsmöglichkeiten gehindert wurden. Die Schule und das Erwachsenwerden waren für ihn die Zeit des in sich Gehens und der Sinnsuche. Früh erkannte er, dass das nicht alles sein kann, bestärkt durch seinen immer wieder zu Besuch kommenden Onkel aus Deutschland, worüber manche Episoden zu lesen sind. Der Gedanke, nach Deutschland, in das gelobte Land auszureisen, verfestigte sich. Die Eltern waren nicht begeistert, haben den Schritt dann aber doch gewagt. Damit begann der zweite Lebensabschnitt, mit Höhen und Tiefen, die er im Buch schildert. Mit der deutschen Realität konfrontiert, stellte er fest, wie wenig sein Bild der Wirklichkeit entsprach, in Rumänien Deutscher, in Deutschland anscheinend Rumäne. Trotz relativ schneller Integration blieb die Spannung zwischen dem Hier und dem Dort. Sein Freiheitsdrang fand seine Erfüllung in vielen Reisen in die ganze Welt, sein Heimweh in der verstärkten Zuwendung zu Siebenbürgen. Die Zeit in Deutschland verlief nicht nur geradlinig. Die berufliche Ausbildung hatte zwar an der Uni in Hermannstadt begonnen, aber in Deutschland und England folgten Jahre der Ergänzung. Hierfür war es nötig, sich erst das tägliche Brot zu verdienen. Ab dem Zeitpunkt als Gymnasiallehrer an einer Schule im süddeutschen Raum erfahren wir Abläufe in schulischen Gepflogenheiten, begleitet von Belangen des privaten Lebens. Darüber, aber auch aus anderen Bereichen, gibt uns Alfred Schadt einige Beispiele, die manch einem Leser als ähnlich erscheinen dürften, wie es auch ihm erging. Überhaupt kann der Großteil der Schilderungen als Spiegelbild angesehen werden. In fast allen Bereichen, die der Autor schildert, kann manch einer seinen eigenen Werdegang wiederfinden. Ob es nun Zustände im Vergleich der Systeme Südost versus West sind oder die menschlichen Kontakte betreffend, bis hin zur Freizeitgestaltung, alles veranschaulicht uns der Autor aus seiner Perspektive. Ein wesentlicher Teil des Buches behandelt das Thema Familie und Verwandtschaft, was ebenfalls große Ähnlichkeiten zu Selbsterlebtem darstellt. Daraus können unsere Nachfahren ihnen weniger bekannte Lebensweisen ihrer Vorfahren nachlesen, was ja ein Grund dieser Erinnerungen ist. Als Fazit sagt Alfred Schadt: Mein Lebensweg ist kein besonderer, es ist ein Weg, den viele meiner Generation so oder so ähnlich gegangen sind. Wir alle aber sind Kinder unserer Zeit und als solche ist es unsere Aufgabe, unsere Erlebnisse, Erfahrungen und Erinnerungen für die kommenden Generationen aufzubewahren.
