Condition: As New. ~ Facsimile edition limited to 3000 copies of the 16th-century codex at Biblioteca da Ajuda, ms. 51-IV-38, with 53 leaves measuring 223 x 157 mm. of which 33 are handwritten. With twelve colored maps of which a folding large one (51x38 cm) covers the entire coast of South America, from the delta of the Amazon to the Strait of Magallanes. The data collected by Luís Teixeira took place in 1574, and it is very likely that the maps date to 1586 (Jaime Cortesão, História do Brasil nos velhos mapas, 2009, p. 417).
