The Third Edition, with striking 'motor cyclist' artwork by Ellis Martin. The covers are blue with blue sheet name and royal arms. Browne, 13.1.a.

Folding coloured map on paper measuring 24.0 x 35.0 ins (approx. 61 x 89 cms) folding in 16 panels to 12.5 x 5.0 ins (approx. 32.0 x 13 cms); printed card covers, a very good, bright, clean copy. The cover is Ellis Martin's 'Medallion Royal Arms' with blue border and location map, in long format. The generic form of this design became the first standard post-war OS cover. Browne, 96.2.a.

No Binding. Condition: Very Good. Covers with minimal marking. Map folds very tight. The odd very minor spotting. Pencil circles in a couple of places with a circle and arrow linking West Raynham with an artillery range off Sheringham. Map mounted on linen with waterproofing to the map face. Air information corrected to 1937, with a print code for 1938 to the lower margin. Area covered: Great Yarmouth (E); Attleborough (S); Lincoln (W); Barton on Humber (N). Detailed legend to inside front cover. Table of 'marine lights' (29) with characteristics to inside rear cover. Cassini grid. Detailed compass. High ground in purple. Includes: Humber estuary; Lincoln to Peterborough; coast ranges from Spurn Head to Great Yarmouth. Legend to inside front cover.
