Not identified as such, but from the library of the American-born Oxford philosopher James P. Griffin (1933-2019). A collection of essays by the celebrated Oxford moral philosopher R.M. Hare, published only three years before his death in 2001. Of Hare, Allan Gibbard remarked: "Perhaps no philosopher since Kant has developed a theory of moral judgement and moral reasoning so ingenious and so carefully worked through as R.M.
