Fourth Printing of First Edition. 296 pp., crown, spine faded, binding sound though spine faded, Peake argues for modern liberal criticism and its 'assured results' though nowadays they are far from assured. He tries to reassure Evangelicals in one chapter. His case has been fully answerred in modern times by scholars like J I Packer and by Barth but nowadays this book is an historic statement of the old liberal case Size: Crown.
