Sheet Music. Condition: Good. Harms, Inc., Published 1924. Sheet music, 6 pp.; 31 cm; plate 7076-4; illustrated list title page in deep blue and orange, the scarcer West Coast issue crediting the Los Angeles production. In Good condition. Deep blue and orange illustrated wrappers, lightly toned and soiled, with light bumping and… creasing to the edges and corners; a previous owner's initials in pencil on the front cover, and small slits at the head and foot of the spine fold. Interior mildly toned but otherwise unmarked. This is the Los Angeles production issue, distinct from the common Broadway printing: where the standard copies credit "H.H. Frazee presents. staged under the direction of Edward Royce," this title page reads "Louis O. Macloon presents. entire production staged under the direction of Lillian Albertson." Macloon was a leading West Coast impresario whose No No Nanette was a Los Angeles sensation; Albertson, a Broadway actress turned director and head of the dramatic coaching staff at RKO Pictures, is credited with Macloon for discovering Clark Gable, casting him as Killer Mears in her 1930 Los Angeles staging of The Last Mile. The song is Vincent Youmans and Irving Caesar's Tea for Two, the enduring standard from the 1925 hit No, No, Nanette. The title-page shield lists eleven numbers from the show; the back cover prints an excerpt from June Brought the Roses.
