An intriguing book by Travers, based on a series of letters she wrote while traveling--on a rather tightly controlled tour--in Russia in 1932. It's all rather tongue-in-cheek in tone, but intriguing, too. Red cloth book is Near Fine, clean and tight, pages crisp, with toning to top edge and sunning to spine and top of boards. No previous owner name or marks. Dust jacket has a little wear and tear and most of all, a lot of toning at and near spine and on back panel. $1.50 price intact on front flap. Not Signed.

First edition, first printing. Text is unmarked; pages are bright, though the page edges are age toned. Binding is sturdy. Dust jacket is worn around the corners and at the head and base of the spine. There is a split in the dust jacket at the base of the spine so that about 1" is starting to come off - the paper is still attached and now protected in a mylar sleeve.
