Ex Library, so has bokplate, and various stamps throughout, a taped library code on spine has removed some of the gold decoration.

Condition: Very Good. Two volumes in one: pp 226 The miscellaneous Works of Tim Bobbin and pp 84 Plebeian Politics. These satirical works by the 'Lancashire Hogarth' John Collier are in very good condition in straight grain calf, spine rebacked, inner hinges reinforced. In a likely contemporary half leather and marbled boards binding. Spine decorated in gold with a burgundy title label stating simply TIM BOBBIN. Spine presents very well.

Light rubbing to boards, slight offsetting to endpapers, lightest occasional foxing (chiefly confined to endpapers), contents remain overwhelmingly clean and unmarked with tight, sound binding. Overall, very good+. Tim Bobbin (pseudonym for John Collier [1708-1786]) was an early English satirist and caricaturist.
