I was initially inspired to create Metascapes many years ago after spending time in Baja California where I experienced a deep sense of stillness and expansiveness. I have also lived near the ocean for 40 years, so certainly on one level Metascapes may be viewed as seascapes, though they are not, as I paint without reference to any viewed or photographed scene. Conceptually, the horizon line may be perceived to be the illusionary boundary for what may be above or below the surface of one's inner awareness. This item is printed on demand.
